Dedicated to my husband Jeremy…
This is the vision we witnessed on our walk back down the trail to home on Thanksgiving Day..St. Lawrence Cty. Adirondacks♥♥ NY…..11/24/2011
A warm day of 35 degrees after receiving a few inches of snow the day before.
As we walked the trail, all you could here was the sounds of the melting snow dripping off the trees
the crunch of our footsteps through the snow covered trail
and a few scares of a quail fluttering through the trees for our eyes not to see.. just his scary fluttering sound of exiting away from us..
This capture for me represents the transition of fall to winter..
hence the title in reverse ..
we were trekking through wet, melting, new fallen snow
with autumn colors still hanging on in the trees.
my cheeks were very rosy in color when I came back home
my heart was beating strong and proud because I had made the journey
and not alone, my hubby at my side, enjoying every picture I took,
every stop to listen to a new sound,
every smell of dripping pine pitch on the bark,
every wonder of a frozen mushroom in the forest park..
and every drip of moisture from the forest pines..
became a story for us, one to pass down in time..
a memory caught… just him and I…….
