Rectory Fireplace, Ste. Marie Among the Iroquois by

BEST VIEWED IN LARGER VERSION!!

this shot is of the fireplace in the rectory and you can see the herbs hanging on the mantle. also, the pots and utensils they would have used for cooking, the brooms and buckets in the corner,, the gourds drying on a shelf on the wall, and the closed , shuttered window which I found even more intriguing with the hinges and dried, weathered wood.. and oh my,, wooden shoes, one pair for me and one pair for you…
as you can see I was enjoying myself immensely snapping away pics, hubby and I had this fort all to ourselves for a whole hour before it closed for the day.. I was in my glory………

I am a self taught artist and have drawn and painted since I could hold crayons or a pencil in my hands..
My brain is an attic filled with treasures yet to be explored or recreated.. I am a Veteran,a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter and a teacher!!! My pallet is full of life, color and energy.. I hope you will see and feel that in all of my artwork.
