This is the art on one of the support walls of the Miner St. Bridge Canton, NY. painted by local and college students I am sure,, a great place to hide and have drinking parties away from the law seeing them.
I found many remnants of such actions that went on..
Young, artistic folks just starting out who
thought the whole world was lying ahead of them.. and were just being free and silly.
I can almost hear their laughter and fussing with each other while they shared the spray paint cans, and each had an idea of what they wanted to add..
maybe some sat back and just watched and encouraged the artistic ones to paint away, shouting out ideas and words..
and then their anticipation and adrenalin rush of getting out from underneath the bridge late at night without the local PD catching them with the evidence in hand..
what a rush they must have felt if they got away with it..
This reflection under the bridge today, made me realize, I was just like them at one time in my life.. full of spirit, dare, and craftiness.. I still am,, but I have taken a different outlook, approach, respect and admiration of art and all that surrounds me.. and where my boundaries are..
So admire this, yes I did,
smile, yes I did,
Walk up close to it and touch it,, yes I did..
wish I had been a fly on the wall watching all these antics when it happened,, yes I did..
tired when I got home after crawling down the hill and over all these rocks to get the shot..
YES I WAS!!
