I sat on a log for a little while
listening too the moans and groans
of the pines swaying in winters wind
shedding the snow from their limbs
and low and behold a vision from the skies
heavenly dusting of powdered snow
falling before my eyes
thanked the trees for such a lovely show
I tried too leave the woods
the trees kept clapping, beckoning me back
I had sat on the best seat , that snow covered log
they wanted to do an encore
