THE WATCHERS…

deceased, dried up and gray
life has left them
they are watchers now
who guide us on our way

some still stand
some have laid down
they take turns watching
for hopeless, helpless sounds

they feel our distress
when we get lost
they have many faces
are sincere for our cause

listen closely you will hear
them whisper to one another
they are chanting for you
so you will not fret or fear

and when the moon light
shines on their face
do not be afraid
they are just aged

weathered and worn
wise too their roots
their chanting songs
will heal and soothe

they are watchers, waiting
waiting,and whispering
old timers, who lived a good life
souls of mother nature
leading you to the light

reminding us humans
we should do the same
life is short, give and receive
gracefully everyday

I am a self taught artist and have drawn and painted since I could hold crayons or a pencil in my hands..
My brain is an attic filled with treasures yet to be explored or recreated.. I am a Veteran,a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter and a teacher!!! My pallet is full of life, color and energy.. I hope you will see and feel that in all of my artwork.

Nice work to bring in the type of weather that we yearn sometimes. Yes, the days when you look outside and see these magnificant natured trees that have aged, yet they point the way if we should go astray. The wonderful poem smooths us passions to feel that going gray is not a crime, but a time to refreshed our thoughts as they make us stronger from the roots at the base of the tree as reminders that we all have those places we can look to when we want to see our paths taken from the first beginning of our lifes. You have brought wonderful feelings into many with these creation of a photo with the details to embrace us with it’s warmth with the beautiful words that takes us to back then and now. We viewers appreciated your tallents in both prespectives that makes us aware of were we have been and how to measure the paths taken because the trees have been here as reminders that they have set the tone by which our travels have gone by their directions that they give us to lead us on our way. Thank you so much for taking the time to place this work of art in front of us and in our minds to refreshen out thoughts with the youth of our past, and the bonding of the present with mother nature. I was a joy to close our eyes after each line and surround us with the gift of sight as the words from the poem resounded inside our brains, detailing every minute of our journy’s once taken, once felt, once seen, and prejecting a vivid scene to view in the comforts of our little hide away computer home. Thank you for allowing us to remember the good of what this world has to offer. Just little old me

  • Dear Oscar,
Your letter reached me today about you gazing on an art piece that had an attached poem of meaning. You expressed your self so well dear friend, letting the artist know what this meant to you. Believe me it is every artists dream, painter, sketcher, writer, to feel their work grabbed someone in their heart, their soul and left them either speechless, or speech full!!

So my dear friend from warmer climate than I , thank you for sharing your feelings with me on this very cold and windy day in my neck of the woods. Your words now have warmed my heart and soul knowing this touched you, you got it, it found a place in your life years.I end this letter too my Dear Oscar with this..

Always know I am there in the whisper of the wind
Watching your path along your lonely walk
My face changes many times, as in
Keeping my identity safe, but I am an angel
And I will be at your side forever more.
You will always recognize my voice
Whether from the clouds or trees,
My WATCH is to hold your hand
    to heal, gradually,
    so when you are ready
steady and strong, ready to get along
