I am a self taught artist and have drawn and painted since I could hold crayons or a pencil in my hands..
My brain is an attic filled with treasures yet to be explored or recreated.. I am a Veteran,a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter and a teacher!!! My pallet is full of life, color and energy.. I hope you will see and feel that in all of my artwork.

Beautiful. The name captured my eye. Not many know of the bowfin. I was the first person some thirty years back here in the wetlands to catch one…took me almost half an hour to get it in. Weighed in at 18 pounds! DEC was amazed! Today they run up to 45 pounds here in the wetlands and are ferocious looking with all those teeth!
This brought back such a tender memory of the day I caught mine with my kids and companion and dog at my side!

  • oh wow,, Pamela,, we were so shocked the night he caught his,, it tore up his lure, and fought him for over half and hour,, we had now clue, thank GOD, I snapped a pic of him holding it up before we released it, and it was the last pic on my camera,, I need to post the pic for folks too see what they look like,, we had to go to DEC ourselves with the pic to identify him,, they did so,, and we were shocked how old they are, and they say they are infesting more and more in NYS waterways,, thanks for sharing your story with me. I will attach the photo of my hubby holding his up too this painting,, thanks for the idea…peace and love linmarie
