Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

Gloomy, wet and cold along this gravel road
Red, yellow and green
Autumn is coming

Lead me where my heart stands still
My soul is free by the creek
Wood stove warms me
My special place
Where I lose my will

This road takes me to another world
Away from noise and frustrations
To our camp in the hills.
Pure Oblivion!

dirt and gravel road leading too our camp,, took this pic. 09/23/09.
It had rained all morning and had high winds the night before,, so went too check on camp for down trees.. autumn was just peaking in colors at this time,, especially what few maples are struggling along the marshy edges of the road..decided to stay and spend the night once was there,, had a rough week with my back pain, and new I could really heal here,, no phone, no TV, or computer,, just pure nature, peace and quiet,, it worked, felt so better in the morn,, hated too come home..

I am a self taught artist and have drawn and painted since I could hold crayons or a pencil in my hands..
My brain is an attic filled with treasures yet to be explored or recreated.. I am a Veteran,a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter and a teacher!!! My pallet is full of life, color and energy.. I hope you will see and feel that in all of my artwork.

I can relate totally!! My dog does this when we are on the road to the house I used to live in…..gets so excited he can barely contain himself….he can’t wait to get out and run his old haunts around the neighborhood where he grew up!!!!

  • GOT TO LOVE OUR FURRY FRIENDS,,lol!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if your ‘Road to Oblivion’ connects to my ‘Way Out’ on p.12 of my past work.Except for the kangaroo in the distance in mine there’s something very similar in the feeling of both shots .An Extraordinary likeness thousands of miles apart .A Quizzical presence of the Divine Melancholy of Autumn

  • I will check it out mando,, Autumn is my favorite season and this was a rainy , foggy day out was out with my mom,, taking shots,, this is the road going into our camp,, hence the title,, because I am in pure oblivion when at camp, no phones, no traffic,, just the sounds of nature all around me,, the babbling creek, the pitch dark nights, and fresh air.. It is OBLIVION!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for you comment,, peace and love linmarie
