my memories of a tree at the lake we spent our childhood at,, a beautiful lake called BLAKE LAKE,, in the Adirondacks, NY.. we spent many hours climbing the ladder we built on the tree too be able too reach the rope swing.
then it was all about who went the furthest without doing a belly flop!!
14″ × 22″ spray paint art on white glossy poster board…
no brushes used,, newspapers, fingers, a tin can for the sun, cardboard pieces too spread the paint for the mountains, and create the trees,, its a challenge, just like jumping off this rope swing without loosing your shorts, or getting rope burn.. I hope I have brought back some memories for others who enjoyed this wonderful sport,, where we didn’t need a helmet, life jacket, or mouth guard for our teeth,, we survived it all and that’s why we are called baby booooommmmerrsssss!!!

I am a self taught artist and have drawn and painted since I could hold crayons or a pencil in my hands..
My brain is an attic filled with treasures yet to be explored or recreated.. I am a Veteran,a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter and a teacher!!! My pallet is full of life, color and energy.. I hope you will see and feel that in all of my artwork.

I have studied several of your spray can paintings, just to figure out how you manipulated the paint. Amazing and beautiful work, Linmarie! Wonderful… :-)

  • sorry I missed your wonderful comment Peter.. and to answer you question.. if I am doing one with lots of detail like this one is.. the secret is a can of clear coat spray.. because spray paints dry very quickly.. so when doing detail in a certain area.. like the rocks below the tree in this one.. I lightly spray that section and get working very quickly with my tools,,nails.. or scrapers etc.. wait for that to dry.. then do the same in another section if working on details.. thanks for you interest and hope you give this a try sometime.. please wear a mask…..
