It was rainy and cold
She sat close to her groom
His heart was for her to hold.

A gnarly root tripped the horse
The wagon went out of control
Life as it would be, changed
This is how the story was told.

She lived on to miss him
Smelled his cologne everywhere
Looked away at lovers in parks
Missed him touching her hair.

Became a spinster bound to rocking chair
No children were born
No one to carry on the heir
She hummed their song,fell asleep till morn.

When she woke, flowers were in her lap
Salty tears streamed down to her lips
The flowers aged too with each moment past
Her bridal bouquet was her memory of love lost!
