Artist's Description

These two beautiful white horses are sisters, and they were rescued in a condition where they were nearly starving. Each time I have seen them, they have been at each other’s sides, very protective of each other. I loved photographing them, and especially loved photographing them in fog. This was taken on a foggy summer morning in Chappell Hill, Texas.

The original of this photo was very light, little contrast. I used adjustment layers in Photoshop to enhance the existing lights and darken the shadows some more. I then used a layer overlay of a yellowish color to add some warmth to the image. A touch of cyan in an overlay placed on the rear of the horse on the left added a touch more emphasis to the pair of horses.
