Oh how I love the golden hour. I love to just get in my car and drive around the countryside. It’s such a peaceful time of day. My favorite, really. I always imagine that animals feel it too.
CANON Lseries F4 70-200 lens, Canon EOS 50D DSLR camera.

My favorite time of day for the camera, for sure! This reminds me so much of a place where I frequently go…however, I’ve never met a horse on the trail. This shot is wonderful!!!
I actually caught her roadside. I clamored through tall grass and prayed for no snakes to get this. I think the anti snake gods were listening. She was beautiful with those shadows all over her side. Such a sweet and gentle face, too. And she was curious enough to come all the way to the fence for some T-touch massage, lol.

I’m sure animals do feel it.. such a lovely picture!
I love the golden hour too. This is a fabulous horse and capture.
I am absolutely loving my new Canon F4 70-200mm L series IS USM lens. Last night I photographed until 8:15 and did not need the 2.8 at all. Low light, schmo light. Hand held all the way, baby! Last night I took photos of the gypsy foals with them. SIX of them. So precious. I’ll be putting those up soon. If anyone out there is contemplating Canon’s 2.8 70-200, consider the weight difference, the price difference, and read the reviews. I am so glad I went with the F4. It’s a fabulous lens for action, equine, portraits, bokeh, and more.
Beautiful shadows. a lovely capture. :)))
