Artist's Description

This image is part of my Alien Abduction of Livestock and Wildlife Series. This is a Great Pyrenees and a cattle dog, I believe, who guard goats. The title could refer to how the dogs feel about the animals they protect. Or, it may be that they are being spotlighted by a visitor from afar that plans a special visit imminently, possibly to remove them from this world and take them far far away. I had a great time working on this series, and it is ongoing. A friend of mine purchased the group to hang in her guest bath. They make a great conversation starter.

This image was photographed using my old Sony DSCH9. It was taken on a sunny day with a strong shadow. I played with the colors in Photoshop and with lighting effects.
