Marysville Bushfire Sales
As most of you are aware we have had some deadly bushfires here in Victoria Australia. Death toll is currently 35.
I feel as I have got so much enjoyment from taking photographs in the Marysville area its time to give something back.
I will be making a donation when the dust settles and a relief fund is set up for the community of Marysville.
I ask you all to help out as well buy purchasing either my Marysville calendar or an image from the Marysville area. I have moved all my Marysville photos to the top of my list so the first 22 photos are from this area.
All profits will go to this fund (TBA) for the next 2 months.

I support this completely
Lindsay Knowles replied
Thanks Shanghaiwu. I am hoping that a few fellow photographers who also photograph in this area also come on board and do what they can to help out the Marysville community

count me in for a calendar Lindsay, we where there three weeks ago and fear we have lost four friends, and the sculpture garden.
Lindsay Knowles replied
Thanks Kathryn.
Sad news about your friends. I was going over in my head last night all the things that will be gone up there and the sculptures were 1 thing I thought of.

Marysville is one of my fav places to visit/photograph. It has been a yearly visit for the past few years – we were due to go again in March. Its just utterly devastating to think of the loss. Any news on a Fav here on RB Donovan Wilson?
Lorna Gerard
Great thing to do Lindsay, i love Marysville and especially Brunos Art Gallery and Garden, i feel so much for everyone in Marysville, (also all the other areas) we loved it and have stayed many times, i will buy a picture and tell as many as i can about this. Thank you for doing this.

A small ask and I hope I’m not missing something but would you tag any of your images of Marysville with marysville accordingly.
Lindsay Knowles replied
Done. I apologise for not tagging my shots. I am not interested in personal sales on here so I dont spend alot of time doing the right things like tagging.
I just like to share what I have taken with everyone.

Dear Lindsay
What a wonderful, touching gesture. The same goes for anyone else at Red Bubble who uses their art for such a good purpose. This is what true community means. The people will be heartened by your generosity.
Rachael Taylor
Great job Lindsay. Have written a journal entry on my bubble promoting you and this idea.Well done

I was born in Healsville and lived in Marysville until age 4 (1947) Have not been back since. I have bought a calendar and will email friends and family. great gesture Thanks
Vicki Moritz
Happy to do the same with any sales of mine- maybe put some money towards a memorial in Gallipoli park
I was there on the night of 7th Feb. We watched our house burn from the relative safety of our car, which was protected by the shed from the worst of the flames. Al (my son) posted the photo taken by my husband as we sat in the car. My camera had perished by then, and I really wasn’t in a photography frame of mind.

We had another place to live, not so sure about him. Hope he is safe
Lindsay Knowles replied
hanks Vicki.I am having trouble reading all the stories in the papers etc. Was that your story in the Herald Sun yesterday? If so thankyou so much for sharing the story. It must have been so scary.
You may have lost a house but you are one of the lucky ones.
Do you know Tina Reddrop from Marysville?
Vicki Moritz
Hi Lindsay. Yes- that was our story, and we are the lucky ones. I kept telling the reporter my husband took the photo of the house burning, but I guess he wasn’t listening. I had more photos, but kept most of those taken on the oval to myself. Does Tina work at the store? Blonde hair? I know faces more than names, but did see Sue from the store at Alex on Sunday 8th.
