Well I have 4352 photos of castles and am putting them onto a disc as a slide show with the music of bagpipes for every club member – NOT.
I had a whole new experience and from it I got what I think I was after. See ya soon buddy.

  • Lindsay Knowles replied

Mark knowing you, your photos will be different to what most people would take while over there. Different in a really good way.

Great job Lindsay. Do you do most of these in very early light ? I always wanted to get the bright rich greens as you get, but never seem to get it.
I have seen many photo books with images like that, but never seen them share thier tricks. I only know of one professtional photographer that is boths wills and wants to shre his knowledge with people and that is Rick Sammon who writes in the PC Photo Magazine. A few years ago I purchsed one of his books that contains a CD which allows you to go to his web site and do some work. He’s a super guy.

  • Lindsay Knowles replied

Hi Tim. Thanks for the comment. When I go by myself I always try to be on location before sunrise. Once the sun starts to give you light you can start shooting. I always try to shoot at around f22. This not only gives a nice flow on the water but also helps with the detail in the rocks etc.ISO 100 fully manual.A good tripod is a must.My tripod is big and heavy which allows no movement even when I am standing in a flowing creek. Sure I finish the day with bruised shoulders carrying the tripod but its worth it.

Yup, did a bit of that early morning light, great for great photos. Did it in Arches National Monument and Bryce Canyon. You shutter speed must be down there then eh when shooting at 100 iso and f22 ?

  • Lindsay Knowles replied

Shutter speed does vary Tim. Depends on the surrounding bush.Never over 30 secs
