Autumn's Gold by © Linda Callaghan
Clear

It has been a strange weather day here in Australia..we had SNOW IN SPRING in the Blue Mountains and it is VERY cold. So along the same theme as Autumn Love but with just the focus on the warm colours Autumn Gold was painted on Canson 300gsm paper in watercolour and ink.

Autumn’s Gold
Sunlight filters through the trees,
as rustles are heard on the morning breeze.
leaves softly falling to the sound,
as a golden carpet covers the ground.

Beautiful work Linda! It’s pretty amazing; from the tiny thumbnail in my activity monitor it looked like a photo (with a well lit subject!) and now I see very distinct outlines that make it obvious that it isn’t, but still it is amazing how the eye sees things in different views. I saw your snowy spring pic in facebook just now – regardless of what is happening outside, you certainly do keep it warm in your heART ♥

  • what a lovely comment Mui-Ling thank you. I always enjoy reading your feedback…yes they do say cold hands ..warm heart! and I love all things beautiful..keeps us smiling. Thank you for your comment also on facebook …so you had snow in your summer in Canada..Mother Nature is confused right now..stay warm and well :)

This is golden, glorious and absolutely gorgeous, Linda! I love the outline of the tree limbs, and little fallen leaves glowing in the shade. Here in Melbourne it’s been like July, so this is a welcome warmth. :-)

  • thank you so much Bev for your lovely comment..yes it has been very strange weather indeed! stay warm xx
