Button Grass by © Linda Callaghan

A while ago I could not find a button I wanted to sew on a garment and thought how great it would be to have a plant where you could just go out and pick the one you wanted…realising that was never going to happen I had the idea to paint some instead !

Button Grass

’Buttons buttons everywhere,
but the one I want is not there!
Blue ones, Black ones, big and small
I cannot see a White one at all.
Sewing box is full to the brim
but the button I want is not within.

I like your style, always a new angle on things, I’m onto it, it’s called button grass because it’s the grass we admire shortly before pressing the favourite button, I enjoyed the write, but your major problem is with the colour, it’s not white, it’s grey, rectangular, and situated right up there to the left of the “share” button.

  • lol…I enjoy adding a twist Mr T..and thank you so much for pressing the ‘grey’ rectangular button and adding it to your favourites! :)

Love your description as well as the lovely, lively painting. Wish we could grow lots of things we can never seem to find when we want them! Wouldn’t that be great?

  • thank you kindly Marsha! George suggested I paint a money tree…I might just do that.! and yes it would be great to grow what we want….:)
