Berry Delight by © Linda Callaghan

Available to buy on…

I am sure most of you have experienced painter’s block and I have had this for the past few days…eventually I thought I would attempt painting fruit, this led to berries, which of course led to my favourite subject trees.

Berry Delight
See the berries on the tree,
Ripe and ready, flowing free.
Swaying gently in the breeze,
Side by side amongst the leaves.
With glints of sunlight they jostle and play,
Bunched together night and day.

Linda Callaghan

Technique: Dropping watercolours on to wet paper and manipulating the flow. I then let it dry and shaped the painting.
Watercolour, acrylic, and ink on Fabriano 300 gsm watercolour paper.. Dimensions 24 × 32cm.

Beautiful as always Linda! I love this style. Might have to experiment myself. I’m still too much of a chicken to try watercolors yet. I bought some good paper but now I don’t want to waste it lol!

  • thank you so much Dianne! give it a go…I love this technique and not quite ready to move on yet…but will be ready to explore and experiment with something else one day, but for now I am enjoying the discovery process :)
