Connected to my tree theme and not willing to move on as yet this painting was completed last night with watercolours, ink and pastel. Instead of the cool blues and purples I decided on the warm oranges and reds. I am fascinated with trees and they go back centuries to the start of time.

Timeless Trees

Seasons come and seasons go,
Time keeps passing this we know.
In the heart of the forest the trees still stand,
For years they grow tall and grand.
Light streams in finding its mark,
Shadows dance pale and dark.
Upwards and onwards branches twist and lean,
Timeless trees forgotten never to be seen.
