This painting was inspired by a photographic image that my daughter Tracy created a few years ago. Different from my usual bright colourful paintings I thought this was appropriate to portray the mood. The tears of nature’s waterfall cascading from the eyes of a human face.
It came to mind today with all the devastation being caused by Mother Nature. It is so very hard to comprehend and we cry with her for our loss.
Cool tears flow from up above,
and glide over rocks like the wings of a dove.
They caress the face of the stone so smooth,
burning hot with emotion they try to soothe.
The darkness subsides, feeling stronger,
hope within reach…alone no longer.
