I enjoyed using the saran wrap technique in my Sunkissed Valley painting and wanted to try another one. Along the same lines as before I applied the watercolour. Placed the plastic wrap on to the wet paint and waited for it to dry.
Using my imagination I created this story book sea world painting using the shapes that were left. I lifted some of the blue paint to lighten the water and to give it an affect of the sun shining through. I darkened the background to bring the coral forward and I added some gold pen for highlights. I enjoyed losing myself in this technique and stretching my imagination.
There is a world beneath the sea
where creatures live in harmony.
The coral sparkles as the sun shines down
Rays tickle the plants, there is no sound.
A seahorse full of beauty and grace
floats with the bubbles in this special place.
