Acrylic painting on large canvas, 92cm x 50cm of nature’s gift cascading downwards over the rocks. I used a limited palette painting the canvas Black and using White to produce striking contrasts. I have a smaller version in pastel but wanted to reproduce on a larger scale for entry into an exhibition.
This painting was inspired by the Horseshoe Falls which is a 10 minute drive from our home. Although my own interpretation has steered it towards maybe an abstract, fantasy, or an oriental painting, it depicts nature’s gift of water. With its downward veil dripping over the rocks to the pool below it is such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit.
Nature’s Flow
Cascading downwards the spray is cool
Light and darks fight each other to rule.
Shadows are dancing, upwards they climb,
Over jagged rocks caught forever in time.

I paint many subjects in a range of mediums and styles from my home studio in the Blue Mountains. Especially drawn to brilliant watercolours and inks, my work has been described as ‘ethereal, spiritual and totally in tune with nature’. I am delighted to have sold many works, won awards and been published in numerous magazines. Facebook Page LindArt
