Fishing, Collaroy Beach, Australia, Seascape by

11″ × 14″ acrylic painting on Arches watercolour paper of fishermen at Collaroy Beach in Australia. We were lucky enough to see this enormous wave come crashing in on the pier, which was our catch of the day with the camera. The anglers did not move and just stood their ground. Fish is a popular food source as well as a popular sport.

The Fishermen

The crash of the waves do not deter
the fishermen on the edge of the pier.
The waves crash the seas roar,
still they stand fast eager for more.
Determined to catch their prey so near,
They fight the weather, they have no fear.
