I really love this painting Linda…. the plant on the right… is that the one that you are referring to? It is extremely unusual… I’m really getting a lesson in Australian flora and fauna… thank you so much for the description that goes along with the painting…. brilliant work and I love the title…
Linda Callaghan replied
Hi Janis, yes it is the plant on the right..my daughter took a photo of it whilst travelling around Australia. It is very impressive…. I have added a bit more yellow to the feathery fronds tho. Thank you for your kind comment always appreciate and value your feedback….

Fantastic landscape, Linda,
I have read that these cycads are among the oldest plants on earth. the New zealand tree ferns became a must have plant in the uk, a few years ago and now they all have license numbers to protect the wild plants !
Linda Callaghan replied
yes George some are as old as the dinosaur years….did not know about the N.Zealand ferns …very interesting. We also have the Wollemi Pines now another discovery of a tree that was around when the dinosaurs were roaming the earth. thank you so much George…....
