Driftwood
An acrylic painting 35cm x 25cm (13.5” x 10”) on paper, of a fallen tree on the shores of a beautiful remote beach in Queensland, Australia. Driftwood can be a nusiance but is important as it provides shelter and food for birds, fish and other aquatic species as it floats in the ocean.

so good ! i love the feeling of quietness ..the tree in the water is a great focus point as well..looks very refreshing .(still extremely humid here tonite in Bris so a nice pic to look at )

This is wonderful. I love driftwood … the way the sea smooths it. I also like collecting pieces of stone, glass and china that have been “sandpapered” by the waves. I brought a pice of driftwood home recently and intend to varnish it.
