I am divine…
my colorful mask
is sheerly draped
so you can still see
the true me
in my heart shaped face
smiling
knowing my dress up is only just pretend
I am divine…
and transparent
a girl of only ten
my light shines clear and strong
centered from my heart
where it belongs
as a spark from
heaven
in a candle still glowing
I am still growing
I hold this picture in a frame
in case
in time
the scarves once sheer
grow heavy and opaque
and I forget
they are only a mask
it is only pretend
so I will remember…
I am divine…
