Because you asked...

because you asked…

you wanted more
than I had left
in store,
my reserve
thought empty,
bloomed and grew…

you knew,
before I
the place
unknown, unfelt
when living seperated
in the dark,
distant and alone
lives and lays claim
to all…

you asked
a question
I could step into…

a room of no walls
or roof,
a endless vast eternal place
of Now
that cannot contain
the past or future
or yet imagined galaxies…

because you asked…

I remembered
my Self…

I came upon this writing from awhile ago and it reminded me how much of a difference extending help ~ simply by “holding the space” for one another’s higher self ~ when they’ve forgotten themselves…

Photography has been my passion and poetry/verse has been an evolution of expression. My inspiration and appreciation comes from connecting to the beauty of Nature which I feel is truly an expression of the Divine. In the best sense ~ there is no true divide ~ just seemingly endless possibilities in forms of expression & representation…

I’m so deeply moved by this dearest Linda – it’s exactly what real friendship, or intimate relationships of any kind, should do for the parties involved. Love…that’s what makes us remember ourselves…because that’s what we are at the core, that’s WHO we are, so given the opportunity to share such love as we are…our selves can only grow. Your writing so reaches into the heart and soul, dear friend…and I’m so very glad to see you posting poetry alone once in a while so we can feast on just the wise words and take them to heart. xoxoxox

This is breathtaking Linda. I like the way this poem evokes no visual imagery yet leaves me literally breathless. I also love the phrase in your description, “‘Holding the space’ for one another’s higher self”. Beautiful!

I liked the twinned perspective I got from reading both the write and the description.
Simultaneously, it’s appropriate for me, for now, and forever, and not surprising, it’s as pretty as the flower I just looked at.
