Country Schoolhouse
There are little schoolhouses like this all over Colorado…......this one sat just off one little highway we travelled on to get to the Sand Dunes National Monument near Alamosa Colorado. I like old buildings like this…..... they have a lot of character, and i like to sit and think about all the children that might have went to school here from the farming community surrounding it.

Definitely appeals to a sense of the old times. My mom’s parents both taught in little one room schools here in the southeast, and of course, that wast he type of school they attended.

gee, the b&w tones here have really created a dramatic sky! Love these old schoolhouses. Were you able to get inside? I am fascinated by these architectural relics. I find myself wondering about the same things as you when I get to visit one…. Nice job. Good lighting control—not at all overblown in spite of being taken in bright sun!
