This painting came after the passing of my father,who was an inspiration of grace and serenity to me,hence the title. The woman is pouring the water of life and the bluebird of happiness sits upon her shoulder. She is surrounded by a lush array of flowers and (on close inspection) you might find a few fairies. The background displays a mysterious forest that symbolizes the mysteries of passing into another life.

I have been a painter and sculptor for over 43 years professionally and after all this time, I still love it. It is challenging, makes me think about the world and keeps me connected to life.
My art is a mix of realism and impressionism with a bit of humor thrown in.

Yes, this painting was nearly life size. It was an amazing time. It was about 6 months after he had left when this piece came about. It just happened……..like it appeared on the canvas……and every time I painted on it,, it was like he was right there…Touched me deeply because he truly was an angel!!!
