“Up Close & Personal”
oil on canvas- Art Museum Series
If you like the above painting…... I have a book of 50 images titled:
Artful Moments – views from the museum available- just click here
It was a nasty, cold Sunday… a good day for the museum. As usual I happened to be sketching when I noticed this young man. Sometimes one just has to get really close to see the details.

That’s me. No, it doesn’t look like me. But that’s what I do in museums for pieces that interest me. I want to see the paint, the strokes, the method. The alarms are sniffing my breath.
Your golden walls are beautiful; and, as always, you know I love this series.

Me too!!! I thought this one really showed how many of us are….. My nose is practically stuck to the painting! lol I am also surprised that the alarms are not going off!

F.A. Moore beat me to the comment saying ‘Yeah that’s me in your painting’ :o)
As a PLAN B comment – the guy in the green jacket is looking at my fave picture.
Stuart Pearson Wright painting of John Hurt.
Have a search – its a great painting :o)
LindaAppleArt replied
I actually know that painting!! I agree…...It is really a fab portrait! I found him online only a few months ago…...and I like many of his pieces. Fran’s comment is the reason I did this painting….....I TOO, get my nose in the painting!! :)

One more painting are my joint faves which are
Bellini’s Mother and Child Blessing in Accademia and
Virgin and Child with St. Catherine and Mary Magdalene, c. 1500 by Bellini.
I did do the nose to nearly touch a Dali with the dripping clock in Hiroshima – the curators got ‘edgy’ :o)
