This is My King… I have been with him forever in the desert that is my heart… the artist who drew him is Mr. Al-Neaimi
I was with him in the desert,
I was 12
He was ageless
Me and my mother traveled with him
We were fighting once again,
The tribes fought for many things,
This time it was water..
Holy Holy Water
He was our King in the desert,
We went with him everywhere
And inside my soul
Out there,
Burning the tears off with
The heat of 1,000 years
I fell in love
I was 12 and I could not be caught
Looking at him as if I were worthy
My mother was a widow
And our kind took care of each other
In the desert
In the heat that cleansed
Our Hearts and our Minds
Praise be to Allah,
Praise be to Allah,
Al ham dulAllah..
He took each of us in with his eyes
His men fought hard and we hurt very few,
He said we would only take
What Allah would give us,
And he was right,
His fighting
Clean and Pure
He was our King in the desert,
Our Prince of survival
I was 12 then..
And I loved him….

This is an inspired piece from the works of Ibrahim Al-Neaimi
I feel so much for this piece as I have had my time in the desert and learned to love it and sometimes despise it.. I feel this man is a King and in a way the desert that is my heart needs a guardian that is wise and strong and cool as a cucumber..Oh and funny too.. I want to begin a book with him as my central character and it is in my top 3 to be completed as the spirit guides me..

I adored this the first time I saw it Lina and knew it belonged with this piece of Al’s for all time. Truly magnificent work and an absolutely perfect collaboration. This is one of Al’s masterpieces as well. You astonish me daily with your exquisite poetry and it touches my heart and soul in a way I cannot every adequately express! Much love!

Thank you dear heart of my heart,, yes today I am truly happy now that he is in my work too.. You know how much I cared about this piece and how much I think this is brilliant work by Al-Neaimi.. I see your soul torn by the years of wandering in the desert and turning to one who shined in the desperation offering you hope. Lina, you have such a beautiful spirit. I long to share my King with you, but I believe you are not ready for it. I pray for your peace of mind that your soul may be lifted upon wisps of clouds and carried to a secure haven of joy.
