You came back and ran into the water,
I was already there swimming with oysters
you opened my mouth and deposited
as very harsh grain of sand.
Then we both swam together,
The sands story was a recollection
of all my stories before
about swimming deeper to
the center of my heart
I felt it happen then,
a soft creamy chrysalis surrounded my thinking
I like that you gave me something
to chew on and sweat over
(in the water you don’t notice my sweat)
I don’t know where this is going
except I know that sandstones become pearls
and I am aware of my life
diving deeper
swimming with oysters
and you.

This title is so unbelievably inspired and creative and the metaphor so brilliant that I am totally without words! Lina – so absolutely lovely and beautifully written! You are just a font of creative energy lately – and with so much wisdom!
linaji replied
I was cleaning at work as there is so much to catch up on. I went outside and felt the cool air. I closed my eyes and took myself down a notch or two. I am taking more breaks.. small ones.. it is my new ‘thing’..lolol..
and it is only barely 10:00am!! omg!
Thank you Lianne. I have sat with your words from yesterday, the pain I felt this morning while reading your piece and then I felt ‘what is’.. what a glorious ride today

Such a thought provoking piece Lina….. and I love the way used the metaphor of an oyster making a pearl….and so often in life the harshness which we are so uncomfortable with is paving the way for the beautiful treasure. xxx

Lovely, linaji – the grit causing the oyster to make a pearl is one of my very favourite concepts!! And I was writing about sand and surf tonight as well – the world is a bit strange tonight with co-incidences, as this is the second time I’ve had this happen in half an hour on RB, can you believe it! Stay well my dear :)
Cherubtree
