Plastic Bags over Algarve

I love Billy’s Work.. This photo in particular always seems to draw me back to it time and time again. I don’t seem to be able to break down in words via critique of my fascination for this piece.

Leave it to Billy to shoot this not only for the contrasting elements but for the story that is presented here in one of his favorite towns called Algarve.
Thank you again Billy for the inspiring work you bring to my heart.

I tried to find your soul today. Just.
going through the plastic and the rubbish
and I thought,
why am I looking here?
do I think some things hide in trash?
at best
what for?
in throw away sighs
in all the goodbyes
.
I hung up the pieces that did not fit anymore
and I looked at them and contemplated
letting go,
they faded in the suns bright truth
and they blew apart in the winds of change
.
I just watched you fly fly fly away,
Over the town of Algarve,
busy with saving face and beggars dreams
Nuance of steaming clams
and baked bread to die for
it seems,
That these lines of things…
don’t match
out-molded and mottled
plastic pennies
to save a body of love
just fill em up one more time,
till the seams split
from the heavy baggage
of miserly thinking
so intense to save something
that has no meaning
when you look at it straight in the eye
so let these bags fly
I say
let these bags go.

wow….intense….what i have to say about this we will talk on the personal level…cuz i feel this…not mostly for me…but more of me…you know? is strange to watch somebody you once loved so much still search in the rubbish….when you have already realized there is nothing left to find…but….i guess the seeking is done…and finished on our own time….no matter what anybody tries to teach us huh?
Your onna role my soul sister…you got me with this one….time for a deep breath and a fresh cup of tea…lol…love ya! :)xoxo

Parts of our lives are “throw away”!! Those parts we are ashamed of.

Could the laundry remain there for ever…
as little birds singing..on a wire?
    Bags of plastic,
    almost eternal wrappings,
    of innocence that rots…
when it comes outside ot them.
    Town feeling
    home feeling,
    lined rows of feelings.
    Presence.

I am so falling behind with everyone’s work, arghh! linaji, I have come back to this piece about three times and not left a comment because it is so deep and complex that I don’t feel I have anything clever to say about it! So, I will just say ‘gorgeous’ :)

Oh, now I am blushing! You will realise that reading other beautiful work, such as yours, fuels the creative fires, so we all burn brighter when part of an artistic community :)
