The delicious aroma of my meal still lingered
(Cooking in a crock pot all day)
The sheets to my bed almost dry
The letter to my lover was half written
The dog was walked and waiting for his treat
The analysis Re: the bottom line for success in the midst of destruction for tomorrows meeting was just about finished
The plants were all watered and spoken to
The load of clean cloths where dry
The call to my mother was made by 6:00
Thank god for excuses like my dinner being ready
The time for meditation was just around the corner,
(When the sheets were dry and I made my bed)
The call to my workout partner was made and so there was no excuse for me not to get up by 6:00AM and meet her there
The shower I just took allowed me to think about sex
So my ½ written letter to my lover will be all the better as I let him know blow by blow. (Oh My!) Just how damn good he was!
The kitchen was cleaned to a shine (a promise I made to self to clean up before bedtime)(a new thing with me this week, and I just don’t know how long that will last)
The pot of tea was whistling and now.. yes now
That is the sign,
That is the signal
I am set free to Be
Ahhhhh This Being..
This moment of Bliss
The multi-tasking of my

The phantom limbs to assist!

That is so cool you found the time to talk to the plants.
It’s important because it reinforces just who you are.
From now on, no matter how busy I am, they are getting their share of my attention.
And hopefully that will help make up for all that was lacking before I knew you.

color me green, lina… i so envy those on the bubble that get to focus and spend time on themselves.. i struggle to get my ‘me’ time…. between 2 babies, a 10 yr old boy, and a husband, plus other obligations, it’s a miracle i ever get to write, let alone peruse through the bubble… but i do it because it’s a promise i made to myself this year (like your kitchen promise) – i will start paying attention to ME again. i am sure your life is ever busy and your to-do list is always reinventing itself, so even single girls can forget about themselves sometimes… here’s to hoping we keep our promises to ourselves! (ending my comment now, as i have a diaper to change, dinner to stir, turn on the elmo movie, feed the dog, put another load of laundry in, clean the bedroom, bathe 2 babies, and spend time with hubby… that’s just in the next hour!)

I love this…such precious gems in here amongst the daily routines….and they are so precious because you have placed them in honour. Big sigh…how I know that every moment is taken up with our daily activities…mine are not so organized as yours my dear – I bumble and stumble through my day amidst young chidren, animals, my parents and handicapped adult child, along with all those other commitments like (gulp) outside work and expectations…to just find that blissful moment of letting go and realizing my true freedom.
Hugs for reminding me how precious this all is! (oh dear and I did NOT talk to my plants today….......whoops!)
