David As Otter

This is a Collaboration with photos from the subject of the poem..
Amazing Photographer Dave Clark
With Drawings from an astounding artist and friend Dawn Davies
I wrote this a while ago when Dave told me in secret his true passion is the ocean and laying on his back eating Abalone.. tee hee.. just kidding..

DESERT IMAGES BY DAVE CLARK

THANK YOU DAWN.. THIS IS A TRUE TREAT!

David As Otter belongs to the following groups:

Complex Simplicity of Art, Art in Math, Core [C.O.R.E], Feminine Intent (LIMIT TWO IMAGES PER DAY), The Healing Journey, THE SISTERHOOD and Up & Coming Writers

My friend David is an Otter
He lives in the desert.
He misses his deep waters
For now he is present

To the vastness before him
In dune and in fowl
He flies with the sky
And there’s never a scowl

On a face that is shining
With a heart full of glee
Someday my sweet David and I
Will go back to the Sea

We will go back to the waves
Me as Dolphin and he
As otter so friendly
And as playful can be

I’ll be cluck cluck clucking
And he laissez faire
I will leave him alone
When there’s Abalone

That too is my promise
When your suave on your back
Eating abalone and I hear that
Sweet crack

As you open the shell
And you offer me some
I as a Dolphin
Cluck Cluck Clucking along

I see you David as Otter
Your kind and your wise
And me all swimming about laughing
And you kindly surmise

We shall talk of the days on the
Land once where roamed
And how we loved every minute
Even though this is our true home

Now here we are in our water
Jumping at light love Retreat,
David as Otter and I as Dolphin
Magnifique!!!

Lina, what I love about you is the love you give to everyone else. I need to take this to heart and practice it more myself. I see you always paying tribute to others on RB. I hope you get back quadruple what you give out. xxx
