The Sands of Insignificance
*this poem was completely inspired by Billyboys Image below called
Insignificance
Thank you Billy.
The Sands of Insignificance belongs to the following groups:
Complex Simplicity of Art, ABSTRACT DIGITAL ART AND WRITING, Core [C.O.R.E], Feminine Intent (LIMIT TWO IMAGES PER DAY), in-between, Light In The Darkness, Seachanges, The Art of Intrigue 2/24, The Healing Journey, THE SISTERHOOD and Up & Coming WritersWe found ourselves one day,
On a sandy beach expanse,
Blue water and dynamite dreams
Peerless purpose
Relentless, we discovered our worth
Through a lesson in sand
We sat down and picked up a grain each
And you said:
“Do you think there would be enough
Sand if these two were missing?”
And I said:
“Who knows the life of sand my darling.
Perhaps without these two grains,
Many like them would not know who they were
And then,
The entire beach would disappear!”
You laughed and kissed me hard,
You even touch my breast in the middle
Of the day!
You then told me how much this
Feeling of Joy was important
And that you would do your very best to find
Ways of sustaining its cure
And I felt whole and perfect in that moment.
We held each other in that spot where
Forever ness meets a friend
And never again feels alone.
Where doubt is swept away by
Our painted breath,
Our lapping tongues circling the embers
Of veins and skin and bone,
Yielding more knowledge to be remembered
By our minds and our hearts.
I had to catch my breath as the sun turned our
Classroom into tones of Gold and cornflower blue
Meant for the eyes of Gods and Goddesses.
We two
On the Sands of Insignificance
Our lives became anew.

Two grains of sand are as precious as an entire ocean to the pearl that is weaved by them. But to the vast sky, two grains of sand are hardly even noticed. It all depends on where you stand. Beautiful, Lina.

Remember a beach towel or blanket is important on the sand!! You don’t want those grains getting in places they don’t belong!! :)

Wow BabyJi, I have been so caught up in work these past couple of days… so much so that I hadn`t fully realized the beauty of what you`ve done here… and I am so chuffed that you found this image in my pf and chose it to illustrate your heart felt prose. You are amazing in your ability to take an idea and play it to us in your imagery of written word, and it`s even more amazing when you play it next to a picture that means so much to me.
Thank you for making my millenium.

Your work inspired me to write, and I am no poet. I fell in love again after many years of being sad and bitter, and this helped me find the words for that next plateau. Thank you.
