A feeling I have for the rain and for toes and for love.

We spoke of calming our souls in the rain
Walking like the lovers we aim to be
The Outside world
Our Underworld
Our Path
You and me and that black and white
Sheath
You stopped when the rain did
You kissed me then
And I said wait!
I wanted this moment in several different ways.
(I pulled out my camera)
So you smiled and then
You tipped your head to the right and then to the left
You kinda did a Mona Lisa smile and a Robert Redford wink
And then as you pulled me close
You said.
“Buckets of Life I see with you my love,
Never ending cause you’re my turtle dove”.
Well I am fascinated with a man who can say something like
That and then just pause,
Like the Grand Canyon Pause
Wide and Deep and full of a mystery steep
I shake my head cause you are so in love with me.
I cannot remember a time where I felt so close to myself
Around someone else
My mother used to make me feel a bit like this.
Ohh I loved her so.
Just lookin at me and bending her head smiling down
Kissing my toes.
No, Ok I don’t remember that in real time, her kissing my toes
But she used to tell me she did and each of my fingers too.
And then when she told me of this joy and this bond with her child
I would see her face
Transparent and true
Wordless and kind
Then,
From the utter depths that is I
A complete essence of feeling would emerge
And right then it seemed so right
That someone would love me that much.
That was a long time ago..
And now in this rain with you
In the silence you have given me a slice of
I think this feeling
Has found a home once again.

There is something so comforting and a bit sensual when raindrops fall on your skin … somehow opens everything up like the sun does for flowers …. opens the heart and soul :)
