Sunrise on Stilts
A bit lighter side.. fun with a letter I received from a friend..
and a picture of a beautiful house on stilts.. a home I shall have one day
Hexagon and silver inside and perhaps the man of my dreams too!
But for now.. Yous guys.. were wonderful to me today..

Sunrise on Stilts belongs to the following groups:

And my house was lifted up
Stilts and gray
Dawn and day
I climbed thru the window
Cut myself on loveliness
Gouged out a piece of my
Solitary slivers
Inside the house became a
Silver ballroom
Loaded with heavy silver platters
Laden with dried fruits
And pickled ginger
The sound of the water started
A melody of music
Wagner’s Parsifal
And all of Gershwin for dessert
Attending the festivities were
All manner of people
Smiling sanity,
Just south of the border
Taking in 1951 vibes like
A nubile bride takes the ohhs
And ahhs at her wedding
But where did that beast of a pup go?
That Gibby.. Well for short
But really. Proper like said
Full name and all
Would be Billy Gibbons
But I love a guy name Billy
And so Gibby for short.
And so it is with Billy too.
Like this house
He surprises me and cuts me
With a tenderness that heals
Each day
Come sunrise
Bout 4:45am.

THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE COMPLETELY ‘REAL’ POEMS THAT ONE ONLY FEELS AND SEES INSIDE.. only i and one other can know the ‘true’ meaning.. I should write more like this.. this is more the abstract side of poetry that I say I don’t enjoy… but when you are the one writing it… ohhh boy is it fun!!!
