As he was hasty sometimes
Revealing all his talent like a gale wind
And then waited for that one he was looking for
To polish his letters and his hide.
He was ready for more but he drank like a fish
And he was only spilling the beans when he wanted
Assurance that none were better..
Nope not here he knew
Like his mother
Planning every spring to plant purple lilies
But time came for spring
She began her serge for unseemly things.
Could have been her he had leanings toward
What was he looking for?
Quite bored you could say
As the sparkle of time gave way
But just another month or so
Then …right then he would go.
