Dainty feeling Horror flick’
About Life at home and everythings fine..
No depth or substance to feed her desire
For more
For that which was unknown
And Unknowable
For a buzzing in her ears
When she would wake up to a mystery
And open the door to welcome it in…
No not here
Shallow puddle
Laden with mud and murk
But everyone was in it
So this shouldn’t hurt
Softly she made ways for her life
To be softer still
Until
She saw butterflies in summer
And then and there
A tear would appear,
Vastness it carried as it sailed
Down her cheek
Stopping right at the corner of her mouth
Sip sip sip
Until the sky parted
Like her legs did with love,
For another,
No not here
Dried gullies of lies
That crack at each smile
Dust bowls of vaporous
Conversations
About dinner and children at school
And about anything but dreams..
Especially hers
Because quite honestly
Here is the horror.

It takes place in the 1950’s with suburbia popping in and taking over.. all the fake feelings spewed at each other.. goes on now true.. but there are more room for rebels like me!!! te hee.. opps and you of course Gregory!

Seldom go to movies, but love your poem. I think everyone can relate to some part of your story. Children are a wonder. Your writing brings it all home in a very personal way. In my mind that is great writing!
