And Summer Will Return

Love to be inspired.. this mans work is amazing..

And Summer Will Return belongs to the following groups:

Core [C.O.R.E], Feminine Intent (LIMIT TWO IMAGES PER DAY) and Up & Coming Writers

Inspired from the work by Elsilencio~ called by the same name

And summer will return
As the winter days burn cold
Into my pockets
Holed and full of lint
Penniless truths at best
Spying into yesterdays
Desires

And summer will come
Bringing the warmth I seek
To wander again
And wonder where I’ve been
Seeking only the cool sands to rest
Pebbles of glass
The blue ones best
When summer returns
My dreams do too
And you.

Love this, very poignant. I must ask, however, don’t you love that winter forces us to stay home and write or draw things we would otherwise not if the weather were beautiful? And the haunting feeling of winter, of the cold, the ice and snow, leafless tress.. it rouses something in the soul, something inspirational, to write about… such as this delicious piece. Keep writing.

Just like flowers, we blossom in the warmth of spring and summer. But, by the warmth of a fireplace (if we don’t get a fine or ticket first), sipping a hot mug of chocolate (if we survive the pesticides used on the trees), some great poetry can be written. If a pencil and paper can be found amidst all the other junk we’ve accumulated from thrift stores.
