Emotive Series 2011
I took the shortcut to my apartment and just when I was about to cross the square I heard him…
My oh My I heard him and I saw him standing there by a door with light so bright I felt all at once relieved. I used to listen to him all day long as I dreamed I could be half as good. Oh Miles, “here I come” I said. And then I saw her too…
Alexandra Bell, who’s name sake was Mr. Bell himself. Her momma always used a quote from him to sooth Alexandra when she felt hopeless:
“Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.”
She was my queen I had not seen for years and years, she was killed in some sort of ruckus with people I had warned her about… well now, she was here in that wild outfit that made her famous back then to all who ever heard her mighty voice. She like me wanted to create music that would leave the audience wanting for more.
Here I was looking at both exits, one to my apartment on the right with a brightened path home and the one playing the music that seemed right then and there a part of me that wanted me to follow me with a tune right down to the bone of me, and so I took a straight path for something that felt like the next best thang.
