Can you believe this wa taken in a bathroom.. and if it was not for the fact that in this particular shot the camera flash did not go off .. well I do not think I could have ever gotten this effect!! xox
This is so beautiful well done and i am sure she would love it

Oh Lina….this would bring me to tears….she is gorgeous and you have brought out all tthat love and hope that makes a bride always so beautiful….this treament is incredible…perfect!
TeriLee.. I work a mighty few hours on this one.. If I was proficent perhaps itwould take me so many minutes less.. but yes.. as I worked on it.. I fell in love with my friend.. she was so very very happy.. I cried of course as she got married! xox
has an old fashioned airbrush look to it ……………. works well though
Thanks T… I was goingfor that and totally appreciate you comment.. I had to work on it to not make it look fake..yet.. I wanted that quality!! You have a storehouse of art memory.. thanks again!!
I like the softness, and the color, Lina. It has an old flavor. If I hadn’t read your narrative, I might have thought this was an image from an earlier time, perhaps from Italy in the early 20th C. Portraits are tricky, when they are given to the subject. I guess the question, really, is will your friend like it? I have given friends pics in the past that I thought were great, but they didn’t. People like to be flattered; they want pictures that make them look good. I think this is a great portrait, Lina, and I can see how much work you have done, but will your friend see it that way too?
I so much appreciate your comment. I had all that in mind while working. I think I made it look this way because whenever she sang/performed a jazz review/show she always always choose tunes from the 1900s and 20’s and early 30’s and her dress yesterday was reminicent of that era.. She loves that time in life and I do hope it is true I have given this a feel of some age…1890’s 1920’s. I did not detract or streach or fake anything that is not her. Airbrush and tone were the tools… I do not like to do that (too much fake stuff) kind of work unless I suppose I was being paid to do it. So for friends.. i like to flatter them .. yet my strength is in not so much being a good photographer..like you.. and I must tell you .. you are amazing.. moreover I like to create the post production with more of a flavor for theme art.. knowing my subject and enhancing their desire.. hence the art side to this piece.. It is all her and when I finally got to the right tone which happened near the end of all theh other stuff….. omg.. I got goose bumps.. and knew it was her. I do not dare think to much of pleasing them.. but pay attention to what feels good to me….. I feel them as I work and see their smile and actually hear their voice!! freaky.. me.. don’t be scared!! Really really appreciate your comments.. I love this place.. when you want to hear some truths your possee comes out and gots your back.. xoxo you are so very precious to me david!
A+………………she will love it then you have achieved your aim
Oh dear.. your grade gave such a big smile.. xoxo thanks so much!
everytime i see the linji new work i just smile knowing my eyes are in for a treat… a beautiful painting….seen by the eyes and touched by the hands….she is beautiful and this is better than great…xoxo
this was pure love.. working on this piece..thanks so much Terri.. I SMILE..XOX
i agree with Blamo about the old fashioned look with a modern airbrush element. the composition makes you look at her face and then her dress. beautiful treatment, very soft.
Ohhh you are here… I want to send you email and with one of the pages for you to view…. Thank you for the way your eyes fall in this piece. I really worked hard on this..as this was taken in an ugly bathroom!! Are you going to be around.. can you bubble mail me? xoxo
truly amazing work…i am sure she will love it!
It is very soft and beautiful. Has that classic look of a hand-painted photograph.
Thank you Joe.. she is like my hand painted heart.. I am so happy for her!
