Cherry Blossom Alley
She lay staring straight up,
Cherry blossoms
she smiled and remembered
Spring of 1950 he had come home
very late.
They lived in Greenland
she had told him one day as they
were flipping through a Life magazine expose’
on cherry blossoms
that she wanted a big beautiful kiss
under the branch of a cherry blossom tree
As he closed their door he sauntered over
in her direction and seemed half drunk
but he wasn’t
He pulled her close like
Ohh she loved when he did that right straight
in from the outside world.
They kissed deep and long and she
felt his right arm move
it was not around his usual nesting spot
her waist, that by this is time
would be making it’s way down to
her buttocks lifting up her dress
she looked up and there it was
the most beautiful bloosoms she
had ever seen.
(well ok, she had never seen one
in Greenland)
He Held it straight up over their heads
She never asked how
She never asked where
She just went crazy with passionate
glee
she felt loved
and remembered
she felt him care for her sweet wishes
she pictured her wishes in his head.. floating
around and landing on his frontal brain lobe,
(they say, she remembered reading; that the frontal
lobe was involved in planning,and organizing) she
was tickled he had put part of her desire smack dab
in his frontal lobe!
She lived in Los Angeles now with her daughter’s family.
he was gone some 10 years.
Shoot! she had
tripped over a damn kids skateboard
with a bag of Apple pie fixins for dinner
(her kids let her do that at least.)
and above her now
as if nothing else mattered
she saw the branch
and she saw his smile
she saw her life
transform into life again
and she kissed deeply
the burning moment of
release.

This is my first attempt at real intense ‘flower’ treatment.. I took these in Seattle a few months ago and really did not like the shoot at all.. so perhaps I can salvage with the treatment.. thanks so much Daniel!! very nice to see you here!!

there are 3 reasons I wrote this.. first.. I wanted to feel the joy of being loved by someone tonight so I pretended.. and he was so wonderful..he brought me flowers
2. I love flowers as a gift more than anything.. I can’t tell you how I feel when someone brings me flowers… it gives me chills everytime.. the last time was in India.. my husband ..(now deceased see the front of my home page he is there) called me to the place where he meditated.. he was going to ask me to be married.. I did not know this.. It was a place where many Sadu gathered and people from all over the world. He had the exclusive spot with a fire pit.. He came to get me as I was crossing the bridge and we walked to the fire pit .. a very large area.. and there all over every fargen where where rose petals..as far as your eye could see.. full on rose petals all over the fire place where we sat .. just exploding with red and pink.. of course my kness buckeled and I sat on my ankles and cried well.. sobbed. and he held me and asked me to marry him.. so .. that was in 2003.. he died ..perhaps I told you ..one month after our wedding.. but.. it is not sad for me.. I feel him rarely ..but when he died I felt him alot.. He assures me there is no death, quite profoudly really.. but now to # 3
I want to die under a tree.. a cherry tree would be just fine.. but more like a big banyon tree with those big ass roots.. lolol well maybe not a banyon tree..but a big shady one..
