    OK, so I said I’d be back…
As you know my day was way busy and full of all kinds of stuff pulling me away from RB… but I couldn’t sign off without a last look at this amazing picture.

You said HOW you did it, but I don’t believe a word of it. On one of your many travels to the center of the earth, you came upon this massive stone cavern… lit by your very presence… to discover that in your past life as the greatest sculptress there EVER was, you had created this masterwork carved with blood, sweat and tears from the solid rock 5513.26 miles below the surface. I know it was you cause I recognize the passion in its creation as you realize YOU are part of the reason these women will weep no more.

And what really blows me away (no, I’m not even slightly surprised you had your camera with you) is the way you’ve managed to convey the massive scope and grandeur and presence of BEING there… and moreover the way you lead me to feel your sculpture is unfinished. I think I’d like to see a whole farken PLANET sculpted by you.

This is a stunning classic which will become an all-timer and I can’t wait to see how it loks on my favs page!
    xox

  • linaji replied

    I am sweating.
I have finished waxing my kitchen and carving out my bathroom floor
my workplace has marks of supreme technique
    sounding boards
    and squeakless chairs

I have never seen so much rock fly
Dust that covers the walls and the sky
Allowing the harmony of the sounds
    That do cry

    “here I am”
    “look at me”

I am solid as a rock
Beneath the surface of tuneless reprise
A part of me that chips away all the
    Useless lies

    Beliefs accounted like taxes
    Collected by 2010
Beliefs of die and lack and
    ‘Not wanting’
Seem to come back up again.

Where all dynamic is squeezed (calibrated by your finesse)
Rescued by the speed of sound (the end of your whip)
Till my feet touch the ground

    Ahhhhhh
I can breath a full breath
My heart beats a furious /Contemplative ‘and yet’

The masterpiece emerges From ten thousand degrees
Carved in the center of the light by my knobby knees..
    Hill and Dale frequencies
I am subject to the love that your own heart decrees.
    Intertwined by ancient ancestries.
    Yours and Mine
    Yours and Mine.

This is amazing. I am reminded of vampires, although I cannot put my finger on why. Something to do with immortality, perhaps? And a deep-seated sense of power. This is very gothic, and the dissolution at its border gives a certain dreamlike quality to the picture that really suits the subject matter. I like it very much!

  • linaji replied

Hi Simon.. I missed this amazing comment.. thank you. My work on this one was so thrilling. I felt so much for the place I took the original shot of in the San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts.. This will be one I shall print out in a 30×30 as I am hopefully amassing completed art for a show soon.
