Practice Fish
I want to be your slave
I want to be the queen you must drone on about
I want to be the corpuscles and the blood work
That says you will be dead without my infusion
Typical physic paradigms
And lofty schemes
All to hold on
To
The someone that becomes
Casper the friendly ghost
Flying in to tell me that if I just follow
My dreams
He will too
From a café in Paris
He will read all about me!
His heart will soar.
To the ethers of forever
Whence we came,
He and I
By the by
I am in the Andes.
Eating coca leaves and the bruja says
There is something a brewing
A storm is coming
A wind funnel is changing and I must go!
Run she says run run to your destiny
It waits on a wailing wall in darkness
Bring them light she says
That’s all that matters.
The light is all that will satisfy you!
But she is wrong
I think
I wanted to just be in bed with you
Hearty cup of tea and practice fish
Listening to the song of
Letting me go.
Oh shit
Even here you and the fish practice
The backstroke
To a place where you watch me
Find the light that old bruja said I should
Find
The only thing that will make me truly happy

But I don’t think so

Smoking one last cigarette
After 11:00pm
With you would have been better.

the truth? well…....i must say that i absolutely LOVE it!!! i love the feeling watercolors give, too, though i was never good with it….you have created something really beautiful here, dear lina…..the colors feel so good to my soul and if i were a little fish, i would call this paradise…..i would love to see more of this work from you…...love to you, dear one….

I think it’s beautiful and has your trademark shimmering effect – so beautiful! It has a fish-scale kind of shimmer too. I know I am much more literal than you in my aesthetic Linaji, but I think I’d do something to clarify the fish, maybe a single defined stroke or a patch of scales or something. But subtlety is not my strong point! x

Rachel.. I could not wait.. so I put a layer of color mesh over the fish and burned the definition in of scales.. I am so much more happy with this… can you look and tell me if this is better? I also got to doing a couple of other things.. so I want you to know how much your comment assisted me in improving my work.. thanks!!!

You’re joking right? Its beautiful. I have one I am just finishing that is similar but it is all watercolor and wax paper made the textured look on it. I’ll upload it when I’m done. This is an immediate favorite! And perfect for a children’s book : )

You blast my heart open with your colors… so much of what you’re doing these days is about massive color, and you use the full range too.
In fact, it wasn’t till now, and having gone again to Opening and Perfect Note, I’m starting to realize just how awesome your abstracts are. Not only do I get such sentiment from how your art relates to your writing… but from face value alone, your art is simply beautiful to look at. It is a feast to gorge on, and uplifting of spirit. And I sense how good you are feeling as nobody can use colors like this and feel bad. Simply can’t be done. And so your feelgood makes me feel good when I see it, so… it’s ALL GOOD!!
But I have to agree, it would have had less impact without the scales. I ;love the way you took Rachel’s comment on board and expanded the fish… which was then your practice fish. Wonder how many people know exactly what practice fish is???

Could not go to bed without telling you that your comment here is pretty amaizng. I like that your blasted and you feel the colors cause if you look at the other side of my work it is all in grays and chrome liike color.. you know that right? I seem to like dark and then the fargen pick stuff.. tee hee.. no one can use color like this and feel bad you crack me up!!
I suppose you are right dear BB.. So it is all Good.. that is what I am learning in so many ways ..espically last couple days.. I heard something on the way home that was so Core deep.. and so clear to me.. that I wish I could explain it to the world and say.. see.. now all of us can chill cause we want to feel this.. CONTRAST.. anyway another time perhaps I will be able to share this epifiny.. or how ever the fuck you spell it! .. back to you and your glory.. I so appreciate you see Rachels comment as a GIFT!! for this piece.
and I don’t think anyone could ever know really what practice fish means.. unless of couse they read the poem.. then maybe they think practice fish and you may have something going.. oppss.. did I say you?? as in that poem.. no.. I mean.. practice fish in the general.. I mean.. well.. now.. time for bed!! lololo
