YES lina… that is the key. let me say i absolutely love this picture.. it’s divinely beautiful.. one of my top favorites of yours. the message is wonderful – it applies not just to couples but to every relationship. the most deep and poignant moment was this: tee hee.. lol.. actually the first time i read it i didn’t notice it, and the second time it made me giggle. beautiful art, beautiful you.

beautiful image… actually the differences can make walks become different stories we tell each other, we see things that the other doesn’t see, I think that is what the poem is about..

So they made a pact and they went for walks
When she saw buildings and he saw the sky they both
Were so happy for what the other was seeing it was like they were seeing EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE.

Lina, I don`t know why this grabbed me so intensely…
there are very few poems that mist my eyes, especially ones that I don`t know why they`re making them mist. I`m actually having a bit of trouble seeing… wait a sec…
OK, that`s better.

I think what it is… you have finally managed to show me the light.
I think when I finally write my Funk & Wagtail dictionary of life defining terms, you`ll flip to Allowing and you will see this poem, complete with phoenetic markings for people who have trouble “getting it” (like me as of yesterday), and a note from the editor underlining its importance in the way we all need to live our lives if we want to survive and, more to the point, if we desire to let love into our lives.

And on a personal note, I need to thank you for what you have shown me about love on a spiritual level. Nobody has ever taken the time or thought it could be of such importance to me… but you did. And in spite of my reluctance to accept a take on life and love that is so different to mine, reading your poems have managed to let your wisdom filter into the cracks of my stubborn reason and start to generate a warmth that speads so silently and evenly that I didn`t even realize it was there…
until I read this amazing poem.

So here`s another fav for your roster… cause I also dig the picture. I like the way the couple seem to be of a color that is blended from all the contrasting hues that surround them.
Happily ever after. I now believe that is possible.

Again… truly beautiful stuff! I love the image but I the poem has so much truth in it! So often people get hung up on others not seeing the same as they… when really we are blessed that we don’t all see the same way… imagine how boring it would be… far better to revel in what another can show us… something we otherwise would not have seen, considered or known… thanks again…

Oh, Linaji this is a beautiful image. And, your poem, now become a mantra for me and my partner of 24 yrs (we’re legal now), is so powerful. We’re on the same journey but see so much differently through the narrative of each other’s eyes. Surely this plain is made more wonderous and indeed bearable when with all our differences we are able to traverse together and still live in harmony.

P.S. I loved your “Pleasantvile” response. That was a wonderfully quirky movie.
