Americans Part !... Sailing with a Sea of Fellow Friends

San Francisco January 20th 2009.. Civic Center.. Outside Big Screens..
Political Officials and Each Other!

I just held my camera up a million times to get a shot.. well maybe 10 and this one is what caught my eye to allow you to see what bunch of people I was mixed up with btw.. it is raining today and the day after the inauguration… potent stuff when the weather cooperates with our new leader* !!

I was squashed in a corner but squashed in Love and friendship.. I could not move too far to get too many shots while he was sworn in.. I should have bought a box to stand on and I am 5’9!! But I got a few good shots and was with fellow Americans who cheered and booed.. (when guess whos appreared.. B and C !!) and was full of the Spirit of our country …

The United States of America

with emphasis on the United part!!

Enjoy friends…. and you were all with me.. I saw everyone’s comments on my Iphone!!!
You sure are a wonderful family!

Lina, what’s so cool about this is the contrast between the regimental, military-like trees and the dynamic of the multi-racial faces. The trees are looming and static and withering, while the faces are alive and flowing, yet moving in the same direction towards hope and a new beginning. Sort of shows me what this is all about. Nice work!

  • linaji replied

I was so taken with the angel that came up..in contrast with the trees.. you are such a wonderful story teller and a poet when you comment on a piece.. My humble thanks to you BB ..xox (PS.. I had 5 shots.. and this was the only one that spoke to me)
