Americans Part ! ... Vets Have Hope

San Francisco January 20th 2009.. Civic Center.. Outside Big Screens..
Political Officials and Each Other!

I thought this man was beautiful.. alone and full of stoic silence.. he exuded a sense of peace somehow for me..

I was squashed in a corner but squashed in Love and friendship.. I could not move too far to get too many shots while he was sworn in.. I should have bought a box to stand on and I am 5’9!! But I got a few good shots and was with fellow Americans who cheered and booed.. (when guess whos appreared.. B and C !!) and was full of the Spirit of our country …

The United States of America

with emphasis on the United part!!

Enjoy friends…. and you were all with me.. I saw everyone’s comments on my Iphone!!!
You sure are a wonderful family!

Never really stopped to consider how amazingly you captured this moment.
And not only because you got the look of silent hope so eloquently, but also because it is such a beautifully executed portrait. Classic. Crisp and clear with good composition and tonal balance, nice depth of field keeping the background from interfering, and so beautifully lit with every shadow and highlight within your exposure range.
    Wonderful work!

  • linaji replied

Gee Billy.. I think this is the most wonderful words you have ever said.. can it get any better? I am in tears.. so there. xox
