I LOVE that image…if I had a room with a wall that was large enough to do it justice and the ocean opposite that wall, with morning sunlight streaming in, and the money to ask you to scale the image up to something that could COVER THE WALL—I would.

Lina, this has caught my eye evey time I pass through your stuff and don’t know why I never commented… maybe just needed to have the time to give it justice.

Barn doors. It’s what photographers put on their flash heads to direct and concentrate light onto one area… and here, they’re forming a cross of beautiful light to cut through the gloom, turning dead nocturnal branches into rich tropical plants bathed in golden sunlight.
It’s not like you to use religious symbolism in your art… or maybe this is just totally about beautifully combining complementary colors and connecting forms and textures. Either way, it is massively spiritual and I love it and it’s going inot my favs. Unless I forget to click. It’s happened before. And no, it’s got nuthin to do with age. Maybe the drugs…
