It is curious…
Not only the selective desaturation of the pic… but the way he is sitting.. holding himself… in comparison with the other monks. They… the native are humbly curving around their belly… He feels a sort of menaced and…. is even looking behind his shoulder..It is such fantastic document…Precious Lina….Thanks a lot for your hearty visit to my Mystyk… it seems that has not much noticed by the people… A humbleness bathing…..thank you very much…

Well I favourited the original version and really didn’t think you could improve on it but I think you have. Definitely the focus has shifted from the red robes to the one red robe! Just goes to show how many different perspectives can be reached with a creative mind! The first one gave off a feeling of peace and inclusion within the group and this gives a sense of solitude and concentration!

With the selective coloring it is as though he is concentrated on his own thoughts; the main focus is on him. This is a strong while silent statement. It is still but it moves us.

I had meeting with him and held his hand and he blessed my mala beads and touched my forhead..I looked into his eyes.. your not suppose to.. and his eyes smiled.. literally they have an energy I have never seen in my life in anyone else.. I know how to achieve this effect, but I’m not sure i’m using the same method as many other people. My way gets increasingly more difficult the more intricate the edges are.
You got a great result – real visual punch !

That is a thought based upon a wee little bit of a Monty Python movie, and it is that scene that immediately popped to mind when I saw this.

Cool picture, nice treatment.

I always wanted to be a Tibetan Monk, only one that was a Christian and got to ride a horse. Not an electric horse, though, because I am not, to my chagrin, an electric monk.
